Flight Demonstrator Project Engineer

In 2020 the first subscale demonstrator STELLA successfully performed its maiden flight (see picture and here). STELLA will soon be complemented by a second and larger demonstrator, which is to be used as advanced configuration & technology test-bed. For leading this flight demonstrator project, we offer a project engineer position. The task is very challenging due to a tight schedule.

Job Description

• Leading a small design, manufacturing & flight-testing team
• Responsible for detailed design and manufacturing of the demonstrator
• Preparation and post-processing of flight-testing campaigns
• Assure timely project execution

Qualifications 

• Degree in aerospace engineering or similar
• Broad technical knowledge background with focus preferably in the areas of flight mechanics, vehicle guidance & control, aerodynamics
• Very good craftsmanship/mechanical skills
• Preferably experiences in fiber-reinforced composites manufacturing
• Preferably experiences in electronics programming
• Preferably experiences with implementation of drone-like flight vehicle projects
• Application experience with CAD software
• German & English language skills
• Proactive thinking, high level of motivation, flexibility, resilience & teamwork capability
