Winged space launchers & hypersonic vehicles offer high degrees of freedom in trajectory design and optimization. To support the trajectory planning and identification of optimum trajectories of the Aurora spaceplane for different mission scenarios, we offer a systems engineer position.

Job Description

  • Trajectory design & optimization for orbital, suborbital and hypersonic missions including mission-abort scenarios
  • Trajectory optimization for upper-stages
  • Support design of advanced upper-stages


  • Degree in aerospace engineering or similar (mathematics/physics)
  • Background in flight/orbital mechanics and trajectory simulation preferred
  • Strong mathematical capabilities
  • Very good analytical thinking capabilities
  • Good programming skills
  • German & English language skills
  • Proactive thinking, high level of motivation, flexibility, resilience & teamwork capability
