The Future of Space Transportation
The German aerospace company POLARIS Raumflugzeuge ("Spaceplanes"), founded in 2018, develops a unique and game-changing horizontal take-off space transportation system.
The reusable "Aurora" launch vehicle will enable a novel and highly economic way of spaceflight, with providing fundamental improvements in cost efficiency, flexibility, availability, and safety. The concept was initially developed at the German Aerospace Center DLR in 2015-2018.
The POLARIS team has a research & industry background with deep experience in the areas of space launcher systems design, reentry thermal protection systems, and cryogenic technologies.
